In 1995, Marlene Du Plessis-Zötl a native from Cape Town (South Africa) opened the “The Cape Malay Kitchen” in Munich. Her Party Service immediately became well known within the film and advertising industry. Rapidly the film events, festivals and partys became bigger and more demanding. The outstanding South African cuisine which is well known for its unique local specialities such as ostrich meat, waterlily stew, rooi bush, cakes, samoosas and boerewors.
In December 2000 the Party-Service moved to its current location on the Praterinsel with a daytime lunch Canteen. The former distillery of the Riemerschmid liquor factory was extensively renovated and thereafter presented itself with a brand new look and lustre. The Praterinsel Canteen can be booked for daytime lunches, presentations, private parties, weddings, film shoots, business meetings and company conventions or special launches.
